WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET
WHBM is known for its elevated style and exceptional service. From sketch to prototype to final product, they craft their pieces with the same approach as the world’s design houses. With an onsite design studio, they definitely have an edge to curate collections with high quality fabric and intricate details that provide a tailor-made feel. Their line is reasonably priced and they have a gorgeous selection of work, weekend, night out and casual wear. The White House, opened in 1985, and Black Market, opened in 1995—both founded for and run by women. The vision for each was to be a special, personal style destination for women everywhere. Here’s a selection of some of our favorite items, with the editor’s top pick being the Convertible White Strapless Split-Pant Jumpsuit. It’s gorgeous!
Colorblock Sheath Dress
This smoky rose tone makes its winter debut as it punctuates this black matte sheath. If you want to take your look from corporate to cool girl, throw in a black leather jacket and the most-opaque tights you can find.
Double-Layer A-Line Dress
At first blush, you might see a simple pink dress. Well, look a little more closely and you will experience an intriguing layered design and rose smoke tone. Stylist Note: For bold contrast pair with a black leather jacket and black pumps.
Knit Moto Jacket
The word of the day is: soft. And their latest jacket, with its muted-pink color and plush knit fabrication, meets all expectations. As an ode to the moto trend, they gave this knit edgy soft gold zippers.
Infuse color into your winter wardrobe. This coat features a charming winter bloom hue and is accented by golden buttons. Stylist Note: This piece was designed with slimming shaping seams to keep your look sleek.
This ecru coat moves into an ombre place with the help of soft neutral tones. Stylist Note: Take the ombre look even further by adding in the matching skirt.
Tweed Combo Sheath Dress
All hail to the sheath dress. This latest style fuses classic tweed with modern knit fabrication. Go from boardroom to cocktail hour by switching out your office tote for a chic black clutch.
Satin Blocked Sheath Dress
The black satin dress has been a fixture at cocktail parties for generations. This stunning satin dress is brought ‘into the now’ by placing diagonal satin panels along a matte-knit sheath for an edgy evening look. Stylist Note: Classic are seams are included to give you the perfect shape.
Convertible White Strapless Jumpsuit
Our favorite piece: A modern alternative to the cocktail dress. Structured with princess seaming and boning at the bodice, this jumpsuit is designed with a fluid overlay at the front that drapes from the wrapped waist to reveal chic split pant legs. Featuring convertible capabilities, wear it with the adjustable straps attached or go without for a strapless style. Simply stunning!
Black Lace Sheath Dress
Eyelash trim accents the softly scalloped edges of this exceptional design with just the right touch of stretch. Its nude-look lining and body-con fit work together to create a recipe for sultriness – perfect with black strappy heels. If you are feeling more festive, consider wearing it with metallic pumps.
Lace Instantly Slimming Dress
Your go-to LBD can turn every occasion into an event. Flattering from every angle with asymmetrical tiers and face-framing lace. This ultimate wardrobe staple is lined with shapewear to slim and smooth your figure. Just add statement-making heels.
Taffeta Midi Skirt
Soft pleats complement the petal-pink hue of this taffeta midi skirt. Take this uptown style downtown by wearing it with a well-worn tee and downtown moto boots.
Sleeveless Overlay Gown
The most-celebrated combination of tones, black and white, takes a dramatic turn with an interesting high-low, overlay design.
